Well all saw Gamboa get dropped a year into his pro career.

Still, Gamboa was a formidable puncher and was lightning. I think Loma just has too much class about him and once Gamboa got flustered he’d just fall deeper and deeper into Loma’s web

loma would box circles around gamboa and possibly KO.

only way to beat loma is by fighting very dirty. low blows, headbutts, etc.

I don't think it is a close fight at all. Loma would totally outclass him and win every round and knock him out in my opinion. Loma is pfp number 1 by most ranking places and he is an all time great fighter plus the best amateur fighter in history. In his prime Gamboa was very good with very fast hand and good power. He was never good enough to make the top 10 pfp best lists while Loma has lived at the number 1 spot for years and he got there in record time. This a good fighter, Gamboa vs a great fighter, Loma. No contest.

You cannot prove the winner of a fantasy fight. It just comes down to opinion. But records of each boxers is there to see. I saw Gomboa in his prime and I think Loma wins easy. Look at their records. Gamboa's accomplishments are a drop in the bucket compare to Loma's who did things in the ring that had never been done before and may never be done again as in winning world titles in three weight classes in record time.

Gamboa was getting kd'd all his career, but it had little to do with his chin and mainly his style, that let him off balance, open for a bomb when a punch would get through or it qas his tendency when he was ontop of you to just ignore the shots coming back.

He had a good chin. Showed it vs Crawford. Too juiced for his chin not to be solid.

On the fight. It'd be a super high speed chess match. Loma is bigger and I think his combos would give him an edge, but great fight. Cant remember enough of Gamboa to know if he had the stamina and focus for twelve with a guy like Loma.
