UNCASVILLE, Connecticut Luis Nery couldn't knock out Aaron Alameda, but he still became a champion in a second weight class Saturday night. Nery defeated Alameda by unanimous decision in their 12-round, 122-pound title fight to win the vacant WBC super bantamweight championship. Judges Don Ackerman (118-110), Tom Carusone (116-112) and Julie Lederman (115-113) scored their Showtime Pay-Per-View fight for Nery (31-0, 24 KOs).
