Comments Thread For: Pedraza: If Not A Title Shot Next, I Respectfully Request A Rematch With Zepeda

The worst part about his last ring loss for Jose Pedraza was having to sit on the setback for nearly 10 months while awaiting his next opportunity to surface. Now that the former two-division titlist has once again found his stride, he hopes the current logjam of contenders awaiting a title shot could lead to his settling what he feels is unfinished business.

He'll have to see how that fight with Baranchyk pans out first then will likely fight the winner.

Pedraza gets knocked out by Baranchyk and Zepeda beats him decisively again.

Baranchyk-Zepeda is a great match up on the other hand.

Baranchyk-Ramirez is great too, I think Ramirez would get stopped. Ramirez should avoid another rugged brawler.

He lost without a doubt in their first fight but you got the respect the guy for wanting to jump back in and try to right a wrong to be fair he has looked much better at 140 in his previous fights and Zepeda didn't look great in his last fight so I would be ok with it but yeah Baranchyk vs Zepeda first.

There is no guarantee that Pedraza will get a rematch with Zepeda. Zepeda did give Pedraza a boxing clinic in their fight, which isn't an easy thing to do. Yet he did just that, and made it look easy, doubly impressive. Pedraza has looked great picking apart his last two opponents who are solid fighters. Their is a good chance that Pedraza could've learned valuable lessons from his defeat against Zepeda. If he has then he stands a good chance of making the necessary adjustments in order to defeat him in a rematch. This isn't an easy task to be clear, but Pedraza is an exceptional fighter. Like I've said in an earlier post I think he could beat Zepeda, Lomanchenko, and Davis if he's given a second opportunity at his conquerors. Pedraza is a ring General, and he can strategically outmaneuver, attack, retreat, and outflank, with the best of them. If he can't get Zepeda next, then they should go after another top 10 fighter in the division. This will force the powers that be to give him a shot at the title.

You really think Zepeda gave him a boxing clinic and made it look easy? The fight was close and Pedraza did much better the 2nd half then the 1st half Zepeda did beat him tho . He should have never fought Zepeda im his first fight at 140 , I think Pedraza beats him a 2nd time although it would most likely be another close fight

Zepeda out boxed him clearly, and it wasn't by two, or three rounds. That just my opinion, I do agree that Zepeda was a terrible choice for his first opponent at 140 pounds. I do believe that Pedraza reverse that loss the next time around, but it wont be easy by any means. He'll have to pump that jab in his face like a piston, stay close enough to get off his combination, and utilize angles to surprise Zepeda. Zepeda is a real good boxer, and if he beats Pedraza again then we'll have to admit a better boxer too.

Bad style matchup for Pedraza. It would be another boxing clinic by southpaw Zepeda. Pass.
