Comments Thread For: Reynoso Confident Andy Ruiz Can Accomplish Even More in Career

Veteran trainer Eddy Reynoso is hoping that his newest student, former unified heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz, returns to his winning ways in 2020. Back in June 2019, Ruiz pulled off one of the biggest heavyweight upsets in history when he dropped heavily favored Anthony Joshua four times and stopped him in seven to capture the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO titles.

Andy should hire Fury's team that helped him lose all that weight first.

He doesn't need to lose too much weight since he has been obese all his life and it made his chin a granite one.

What needs his focus and he will most of the heavies.

I think Ruiz is fighting Arreola next? Wanna see what weight he comes to the weigh-in! If he's under 265, then I know he means business!

Funny thing is, the rematch did show that Ruiz would have KO'd Joshua again if Joshua hadn't chosen to box him safely from a distance

The few times he AJ tried to brawl with Andy again he was having his ass handed to him

There's no fix for Ruiz, he is what he is, a fatso that is very good at brawling in close quarters, but there's a blueprint to beat him

                needs to be matched carefully

yes, joshua's performance was disappointing too but what else could he do? he knew he couldn't go toe to toe with ruiz, his chin sucks, or should i say his temple lol

I think the kind of change Andy needs needs to come from within just like any other adult facing adversity. Andy Ruiz's problem was/is Andy Ruiz, not Manny Robles or anyone else. He can hire whoever he wants but if he doesn't discipline and commit himself and put in the work it won't matter who's on his team. It's a choice. Simple as that. Guy had the world by the balls and is BLESSED with an amazing God given talent and what has he done with it?
