Such accolades were not at all lost on the 19-year old, who delivered an emphatic statement in a 2nd round stoppage of Esteban Garca in their battle of unbeaten welterweights Sunday evening. Their Fox-televised clash-which aired live from Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles-also came on a night where Ramos' uncle, Abel Ramos headlined albeit in an unsuccess welterweight title bid versus Yordenis Ugas (26-4, 12KOs).
