Comments Thread For: Frank Warren: We Will Push For Catterall To Face Jose Ramirez

Frank Warren, promoter for undefeated Jack Catterall, plans to push for his boxer to receive a mandatory crack at WBO, WBC junior welterweight champion Jose Ramirez. Ramirez is hoping to land a full division unification with WBA, IBF champion Josh Taylor, who later this month will make a mandatory defense. Catterall is the WBO's mandatory challenger to Ramirez.

And Old Fi$h £yed Frank wonders why he's so hated. Unification's out trump mandatory's & Taylor/Ramirez is the fight the World wants. Yes Jack's a worthy contender after the Taylor & Ramirez fight, but due to fighting for Frank has only actually won one genuine title (British) which he never defended. This is typical Frank/WBO corruption!!...

If Taylor wins this month, and the WBO forces a purse bid, I hope Ramirez drops the belt, and fights Taylor anyway! I really can't believe the WBO would be that ******, but whatever, Ramirez vs. Taylor is the fight the fans want to see!

The WBO wouldn't have called for the mandatory without Bob Arum's blessing.

Arum wants Ramirez to fight Catterall next. Probably because he is waiting for big crowds to be allowed in arenas again before making Taylor vs Ramirez.

I'm watching Jack Catterall struggling with that English-Bum Ohara Davies. During the break, before the 11th round, BTSPORTS commentator John Rawling miss-pronounced Jack Catterall's moniker ; Rawlings' called Jack 'EL GAY-TOE'.

Which reminds me of the 'Tart-Tomatoe' Josh Taylor. Josh, has a fight with the #.94 jr. welterweight in the world, Apinun Khongsong, from Thailand.

Now, the way I see it, considering that Jack Catterall is currently ranked #12. ( according to boxrec ). If Jose Ramirez takes Catterall to American school of boxing, Ramirez will without a doubt have a better resume than Josh Taylor, but I personally feel that's already the case.

            Catterall deserves a chance.
Ramirez should honour his mandatory fight first just like Anthony Joshua vs Pulev.

As you rightly say Catterall is WBO #1 & Boxrec 12. However two important facts are that he's not rated at all in the Ring or Transnational top 10. As for Taylor/Ramirez, I see the Jaguar going the same way as Rougarou!
