Jose Pedraza is an excellent fighter, if he would just be a bit more aggressive, and knock out fighters he's hurt in his matches then he'd get more respect, and recognition. He should have knocked out Beltran, LesPierre, Rodriguez, Smith, and Klimov, he had them dominated, seriously hurt, and knocked down. In these situations, if he would've pushed a bit harder he would've gotten the stoppage. Fans want to see knockouts, they don't want to see fighters go the distance, that have been dominated, or hurt badly. That's when your killer instinct comes into question. He's lost to Davis by KO, Lomanchenko by UD, and Zepeda by UD. Davis, and Lomanchenko are monsters in this sport, and Zepeda boxed his ears off. His last 11 of 12 fights have been against really good fighters, his skills are honed. I can see him winning a third title, in a 3rd weight class. I thought he was weakening himself making the 130 pound limit.
He's an interesting fighter to watch, he'd be an exciting fighter to watch if he went after the knockout more often. At 140 I'd like to see him get the rematch against Zepeda, to see if he learned enough to beat him. Then at 140 I give him a better chance of winning rematches with Davis, and Lomanchenko. He was out boxing Davis before he got stopped, and puffed up Lomanchenko's face before getting dropped, and decisioned. Like I said he's stronger at 140, and is the type of fighter that can learn from prior mistakes/fights.
