  • Comments Thread For: Arum Hopes To Show Jose Ramirez-Josh Taylor On ESPN Before End Of 2020

If Jose Ramirez and Josh Taylor successfully make mandated defenses of their titles over the next four weeks, their promoter hopes to match them by the end of 2020. Bob Arum wants Ramirez-Taylor to be one of the higher-profile fights ESPN televises live on the network toward the end of this year. Arranging that 140-pound championship unification fight will require Ramirez to defeat Viktor Postol on Saturday night in Las Vegas and Taylor to get past Apinun Khongsong on September 26 in London.

The horrible ratings for the garbage Top Rank fights this summer have forced Arum to give fans and ESPN better matchups.

      I love it.

I do not live in the US and was curious about the difference between networks. Is ESPN on cable and people need a subscription or to sign up to their online ******ing thing. Is Fox regular TV or cable? I'm pretty sure Showtime is cable, but i may be wrong.

Seems like any fight on Fox good or bad will get more viewers.

In the 90s and early 2000s, people wanted Fox for the simpsons, xfiles etc. Can it be that they have more viewers because of they are already popular because of their tv shows? Fox seems to have

P.S. Not political, I'm not talking Fox News network.

          ESPN is basic cable.

ESPN+ is an online ******ing app that requires a separate monthly subscription.

          Showtime is premium cable.

          Fox is regular TV.

Loma-Lopez and Taylor-Ramirez are 2 of the best fights that can be made right now.

fox is free for anybody with a tv to watch. espn is cable. you have to pay a subscription in order to watch it. the ratings on fox have been going down despite it being free I'm pretty sure they are the lowest they have ever been. trash fights like porter vs that euro dude are the reasons why.

Top Rank's trash fights have gotten horrible ratings on ESPN so far. That's just a fact.

Hell yeah. Just keep em on Saturdays instead of the weekdays and they'll get great ratings
