You really have to applaud Klitschkos 10 year reign of DOMINATION

Say what you want about the opponents, yeah there were some duffers in there but there was also a lot of solid contenders and very good fighters.

Once klitschko reached his prime until he was at the very tail end of it, you never saw him getting upset by tubby fatties. He never ducked anyone, never had any major injury layoffs

You could set your watch to Wlad fighting 3x a year, dominating every round and then knocking the guy out.

Since he lost to Fury heavyweight has just been chaotic anarchy with upsets, injuries, ducking, suspension, midgets, old guys from 10 years ago knocking out top 3's, you name it.

Wlad was last big heavyweight champ, no doubt about it.

its was a pretty pathetic run, with 2 real defences.
in his prime he was getting knocked out by middlers so he learned well to keep the average opponent below that level for 10 years.

That said hes still a handful enough to beat Povetkin and Haye on points, who were genuine challengers.

He was so good, he would be a top five heavyweight right now and he’s 46.

Fury would’ve been this era’s Wlad if he hadn’t stopped fighting for 3 years and had. regimented career.

He still is though, in a sense. I mean he’s head and shoulders above the rest of the division.

No HW today can beat a switched on Fury. Just like none of that era could beat Wlad. That’s why it took the best HW of this era to dethrone him.

Yes its a shame fury lost that time, he would have mopped up all the belts long before now and restored order.

you will never see dominance again like the Klit Bros did. they destroyed generations of fighters. NO fighter was the same after fighting them. if they lost the guy got annihilated in the rematch and never was able to come back from it. you could even say that when Joshua was hurt bad by Wlad might be why he was easily KO'd by a short fat messican

Regardless of who he boxed. It take some metal strength to stay at the top for 10 years.

The Gypsy King ushered in a new age. Wladimir had to be the fall guy. Things look better in hindsight, the Klitschkos were also two of the most boring, robotic Heavyweights of All-time. People forget that. A lot of you casuals who only came along in the last 5 years won't remember that. Real "jab and grab" fighters, they nearly killed the Heavyweight division, making it so boring. Fighting on their shows, everything had to be their way, down to gloves, ring canvas, what hotel the opponent stayed in, you name it. Contracts heavily laid in their favour, if by chance they were to lose, an opponent would have to rematch, then rematch the brother, etc etc. They portray themselves as gentlemen of Boxing, but make no mistake, they had a really ugly stranglehold on the sport, which Tyson Fury deserves a lot more props for breaking. Long live the Gypsy King!!!!
