Comments Thread For: Hearn: Joshua Wants WBC Title, Will Face Whoever Has The Belt

Eddie Hearn, promoter for IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, makes it clear that his boxer's main interest is the WBC world title - and he wants to face whoever holds that belt. The current champion is Tyson Fury, who captured the belt back in February with a seven round stoppage of Deontay Wilder.

Wilder didn't want to fight/unify with Joshua or Fury or either of the Klitschkos or Parker you mean .. just saying. Remember the I'm a pathetic baby heavyweight speech when Wilder begged not to have to face Klitschko who Finked managed.

Joshua will have to understand that if fury beats wilder then he will have to wait till he also takes care of Whyte ...I don’t wanna see fury stripped so it’s better he just continues on his path and beats his obligations first...then we can see the fury vs Joshua fight finally.
Fury has now been put in to a position now and he needs to face Whyte if successful.
If Whyte loses to povetkin what would happen then I wonder

Only person who talks more BS than Eddie is his drug cheating pal Whyte. Wait till DAZN files for bankruptcy. Hearn will be on all 4s in a dog caller and gag in his mouth

Isn't Whyte one of Hearn's fighters? Seems like it, if I remember correctly. At least he's certainly trying to 'wish' a Joshua/Whyte fight. Fury won't duck Joshua, so IOW Hearn's pipe dream will crash like a drunk who falls asleep at the wheel.
