Was this Fowler fighting someone with a pulse or did they find a way to give him a warm up fight with a game (but poor) opponent?

I would like to see him rematch Fitzgerald or fight Eggington

Either of those fights or Cheeseman. He learned very little tonight!

Hearns talking about Sergio Garcia, not sure Fowler has the dimensions for that, could see Garcia beating him up like he did Cheeseman!

            We agree!

Speaking of Garcia, when will he get a shot at a title?

He’s kind of almost due for one right?

Looked like a mismatch from the opening bell.

There are things to like about Fowler but he carrys both hands way to low for my liking, especially the jab. It's begging for an over the top back hand counter.

This wouldn't be so bad if he moved his head and had those cat like reactions but he hasn't. He's very much a fighter in the mould of Froch.

Can't see him levelling up well.

Anthony Fowler is an absolute bum. They like to talk about him as some up-and-coming top fighter, but then they match him against limited opposition. Adam Harper couldn't crack an egg (0 KOs in 10 fights), same as his last British opponent Harry Scarff (1 KO in 9 fights). It is amazing that Fowler is ranked #30 on BoxRec, without ever having acheived anything in boxing. He is 29 years old, that isn't young in this sport. He's never even won a domestic title. He has poor fundamentals for a "Team GB star doe!", very upright, lethargic, predictable fighter. His only advantage is that he is massive for the weight, and they seem to enjoy matching him against opponents who stand very little chance on paper. When they put him in a 50/50 fight, he got totally outclassed by Scott Fitzgerald, and him and his team still cry about it! It is mad to hear them bigging him up non-stop, only to then react cautiously when the European champion Sergio Garcia is mentioned. It makes a lot more sense to keep telling the public Fowler is great, whilst matching him soft. Laughable.
