Comments Thread For: David Benavidez: As Of Right Now, There's A Lot To Do At 168

David Benavidez was well aware of the extreme reactions he would receive over a poster where he is portrayed as the king of the super middleweight division. Observers were either going to love it or-especially his divisional peers-take offense to the suggestion.

Hell yeah Benavidez will be the last man standing at 68 and I think he can beat canelo too

Bernavidez you called out Charlo and he called you out back. Sure it took him a while to get the balls to do that but he did eventually get around to it.

Hopefully if he beats Derevyanchenko then the two of you will fight each other.

That should be an easy fight to make too, it’d have to be at 68 and I give charlo slim to no chance vs David. It’ll be fun while it lasts... it’ll only last the distance if charlo boxes but if he comes to right toe to toe, he will get stopped

He’s probably the best in the division. The only guy I could see who might give him some trouble would be Plant, but I still think Benavidez would win that one too.

Benavidez needs a stationary target to excel. He's too heavy-legged and slow on his feet to beat someone like Plant. Plant would hit him and be gone. It would look like Chavez-Martinez.

Nope. Plant is too weak to withstand Benavidezīs pressure. He canīt run and hug all night which is bascically what he will do if he fights Benavidez.

Plant is stronger than he looks and has much better timing than David. Benavidez's only edge is power. Easy decision for Plant.

I can see Plant clearly winning the first 8 rounds before getting stopped in the 9th.
