Comments Thread For: Photos: Edgar Berlanga Scores 14th Consecutive First Round KO

MGM Grand Conference Center, Las Vegas - Super middleweight destroyer Edgar Berlanga (14-0, 14 KOs) scored his 14th consecutive first-round knockout, obliterating the usually durable Eric Moon (11-3, 6 KOs) in 62 seconds. A pair of overhand rights sent a dazed Moon to the canvas, and referee Kenny Bayless had seen enough. (photos by Mikey Williams)

It's hard to tell anything about this kid. He needs to fight something other than a stationary heavy bag

The title of this article definitely suggests a much needed step-up in quality.

I mean, it's not like his quality of opposition is worse than Crawford's. Berlanga isn't accepting asterisks with his outcomes, is all.

He should be tested here soon, probably by someone on the way out.

Yeah I'm thinking he may be somebody to keep an eye on and with 14 straight first round knockouts he needs a tough test.

I'm just saying. How long can a fighter remain 'eye test' until his fans finally call him out for the BS?

Fighting tough opposition is your coming-out moment. It's how we know how good - or not - you are.

Carnelo's had AT LEAST 10 of them. Loma? Maybe 1 or 2. Crawford? None. ZIP.

ginger has floyd, Lara, ggg (2), Jacob's and cotto on his way out. He didn't look great in any of those matches. Actually he should have loss a least 2 of those fights. Moon was supposed to test this kid a little bit. He seems very heavy handed. Who would suggest? There's another up oncoming prospect (Morell jr)with two fight. He's going to get tested next month. I think he is fighting a 22-0 ranked fighter, allen.

                    Carnelo has:

                    - Golovkin (2)
                    - Jacobs
                    - Cotto
                    - Lara
                    - Trout
                    - Floyd
                    - Kov
                    - Fielding
                    - Smith
                    - Chavez Jr. (He tried to pull a Sergio and it didn't work)
                    - Mosley
                    - Baldomir (no matter how old, Baldomir was a durable name)

And it doesn't matter how he looked because "At The End Of The Day", he FOUGHT them and beat all but one of them.

Now, even if you dismiss half that list, tell me what top tier name Crawford has even TRIED to fight?

                    I'll wait
