Comments Thread For: Lemieux on Canelo: If I Get Green Light, I'll Be Very Ready To Go

Former middleweight champion David Lemieux has been snake bitten by injuries and issues making weight over the last handful of years. Due to the mandated break caused by Covid-19, the Canadian-based Armenian fighter has had some time to recover his 31-year-old body before he gets back into the ring.

What top level abilities has Lemieux shown other than being a heavy puncher? Even that is primarily against fighters that make themselves a stationary target eg Stevens.
He should thank his luck, and connections, if he gets the Alvarez fight.

This fight would be nothing more than a highlight reel for Canelo. As much as I like Lemmy no ****ing way he's landing anything on Canelo.

Their kidding about this fight right? Who are these moronic matchmakers? This dude is nothing more than a punching bag with shoes. Canelo is too fast & too talented for this worn out, past his prime, flat footed hasbeen.

          I told you so.

Lemieux, Munguia were hyped & protected fillers for Canelo. That was always the arrangement. It is what it is.

Canelo has a great chin. A single punch if Lemieux can land it is not likely to out Canelo down. Lemieux is dangerous but he's outclassed in this fight. It's his partially his own fault. Not watching his weight between fights and not being dedicated in the gym. He could be better than he is but better is still not good enough to beat the top fighters that can take his power.

Lemieux’s Armenian? Thought he was Lebanese and Russian

i figure, if anyone can land a home-run ball on Canelo, its either GGG or Lemieux. how good that shot will be, tho, remains to be seen! id be rooting for him!

Lemieux gets 'Kirkland-ed', to make a short story shorter smh

Maybe the inevitable happens a little less quickly 5,6 years ago? With a post N'dam, Guerrero, Rosado Lemieux? Definitely pre dismantling by Golovkin, and the following struggles with his weight/whatever.

I imagine this fight gets or one like it gets made sooner than we think? Simply to utilize Canelo, and on his part, to keep active.

Canelo should stay at 175 and knockout Joe Smith Jr
