Comments Thread For: Josh Taylor: I'm Really Confident I'll Knock Ramirez Out, Take All The Belts

Josh Taylor and Jose Ramirez must make mandatory defenses of their titles before their promoter, Bob Arum, can put together the 140-pound championship unification bout both boxers want.

Ramirez's volume flurries won't work with Josh, he's too smart to be overwhelmed by that shti. Let's not forget Hooker was only unbeaten because he got an unholy gift draw vs Darleys Perez on the undercard of Ward Kovalev 1. He got completely schooled for at least 9 out of the 10 rounds. Previously unbeaten Hooker my azz.

The winner of their fight would be the best 140 pounder.

Until then no one can claim they are the best.

Always been a fan of Taylor. Very gifted, no nonsense style/approach. I wouldn't bet against him winning all the marbles at 140.

I think there's a case to be made for him becoming a better fighter after defeating Prograis too and has the frame/reach to go up to 147.

Josh knocks him out or beats him wide on points, he’s on a higher level than Ramirez.

          Prograis would beat Ramirez IMO.

Taylor should be the favorite as he’s more proven and more battle hardened but Ramirez seems to be improving each fight now!

If Ramirez can take his skills and progression to another level then Josh might be in for an even tougher fight than he could imagine cuz José isn’t small like Prograis and has better stamina!

Either way it’s gonna be a war of the century since both like to throw lots of punches and cause damage!

Hopefully they take care of business in their next fight!

Ramirez gonna beat this cat pillar to post. Ramirez stylistically is all wrong for Taylor, not to mention Taylor was getting walked down by little Regis Prograis(who honestly could fight at 135 if he wants) and was taking A LOT of punishment given that swollen busted ass eye Taylor had at the end of the fight. He got a gift decision over Prograis and now all of a sudden he's a world beater. Ramirez aint even all that great, but he's gonna beat this cats ass.

I think Taylor has a chance to outbox Ramirez, it's definitely there, but I believe Ramirez would beat Taylor. Proagris is a tuff dude, maybe a bigger puncher than Ramirez, but he's not the Volume puncher that Ramirez is and Taylor had a heck of a time in their fight. It's going to be hard for Taylor to keep Ramirez off all night, basically Taylor is going to have to box the perfect fight, which is possible but not likely.
