Comments Thread For: Jason Moloney: If I'm Ranked Number One For Casimero's Title, Let's Go!

Jason Moloney's stoppage of Leonardo Baez on Thursday night moved him closer to a second world title shot. The Australian contender likely will become the WBO's number one challenger for Johnriel Casimero's bantamweight championship because the boxer currently in the top spot, Joshua Greer Jr., lost a majority decision to Mike Plania on June 16. The 29-year-old Moloney also is ranked third by the WBA and fourth by both the IBF and WBC.

    Casimero would smash him IMO.

He’s a decent boxer with solid skills but I just think the likes of Inoue, Nery and JRC walk through him.

I hope they reschedule Inoue vs JRC after lockdown, I was hyped for that fight!

Yeah me too I think it can be a remix of the Inoue and Donaire fight

yup, +1 on that, Inoue and Casimero are at a special level. That's the fight that gets me hyped too.

I’ve become a big Casimero fan, watched him twice over here against Edwards and Tete and he really impressed me both times more so against Tete who I favoured to beat him.

Inoue is scary though man, I’ve not seen many guys his size who have that sought of power. The monster is very apt as a nick name. I’ll be rooting for JRC but I feel like Inoue will stop him in a fire fight... if it ever happens.

Yeah I see it playing out kind of similar. JRC won’t fear the power of Inoue, he’ll take the fight to him like Donaire did.

For all the talk I wonder if his promoters will just find him a softer opponent for a paper title. There will be a vacant belt laying around somewhere that will come easier than getting busted up by one of the belt holders
