Comments Thread For: Joseph Adorno is Furious, Vows Beat Down Over Fight Cancelation

Joseph Adorno is ready for revenge-though still not at the point where he's willing to publicly accept blame. Through a decision supported only by his immediate team, the unbeaten lightweight prospect took to Instagram Live to plead his case after being removed from Tuesday's edition of Top Rank Boxing on ESPN live from MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas. Adorno was due to face Alexis del Bosque in a televised preliminary, only to have to bow out after missing weight by one full pound on Monday and then never making it to the scale for an agreed-upon same day weigh-in hours before the fight.

Cause he an ignorant fugh , plain and simple
Like you said who’s fughin fault is it that he didn’t make the weight
That’s the fughin problem with the sport , can’t make weight , is ok we’ll give him 5 dimes
That’s why fighters don’t respect chit cause in the long run they will get away with it by dropping some coin
Imo , cancel the fight and see the promoter freak out ( of course not in this case cause not the headliner but you know what I mean )
For example Stank not making the 130 pound limit for LSC fight
LSC gonna take the money but say the fight is called off , then you gonna see uncle Al trip out
Just bullchit and we as fans chew it up unfortunately

Make weight or quit calling yourself a professional boxer.

Idiot signs a contract then breaks it and complains about having to fulfill said contract. How does the saying go in that Eminem song? "You only get one shot". This was a big time career setback for this kid. To be on ESPN may not hold as much weight as it did in the past but it still holds some. As a professional you get paid to perform. Start performing or go back to your 9-5.

An he can talk about "beating down" a 17-5 fighter but lets see him do that against a dangerous unbeaten fighter with a lot of KO's in his division.
