Comments Thread For: Vegas Bettor Risks $192K To Win $14K On Gonzalez-Ruiz To Win Thursday Night

An anonymous bettor in Las Vegas has A LOT of confidence in Orlando Gonzalez-Ruiz. That unnamed gambler has wagered $192,001.30 on Gonzalez-Ruiz to win back only $14,763.33 if Gonzalez-Ruiz beats Luis Porozo in their eight-round featherweight fight Thursday night in Las Vegas. The wager was initially placed at MGM Grand's sports book as part of a two-fight parlay that included heavyweight prospect Sonny Conto, but according to a story posted on the Las Vegas Review-Journal's website it was reduced to a one-bout bet when Philadelphia's Conto was scratched last week from Top Rank's card Thursday night at MGM Grand Conference Center.

People are bored apparently I mean that's one hell of a high risk low reward right there but if you got it you got it

Bettors are really taking advantage of these one sided fights early on. Way to make your ***els sweat over some peanuts.

I like these bets. I mean sure it's a lot of money at risk, but for someone to just say here's $4k+, why not do it? That's a months salary for me! (Bring home, that is). I'm sure it's not for this guy. But still it's $4k! (Let me be clear, I would do it if I was HIM. Not if it was me. I just never have $193k laying around!)

If G.Ruiz doesn't win, he better go into hiding. Considering the upsets and disjointed odds lately, this is a horrible wager.

              These news are strange.

I am curious is this bettor win big tonight. Sometimes those high risk-low rewards can backfire and one lose big money and possibly other things.
