Last week, I tested positive for COVID-19. That’s the bad news.

The good news however is, I feel ok and have self-isolated until I receive a clean bill of health. My WBO Junior Lightweight world title defense against Jonathan Oquendo will be rescheduled shortly.

Not surprising as he went up to camp in Colorado and worked out with a bunch of other fighters. Any time you get in a group like that, you have a chance of catching the virus.

ESPN and promoter Top Rank have lost another main event due to COVID-19. Jamel Herring acknowledged in a Tweet issued Tuesday afternoon that he tested positive for the virus last week. His second defense of the WBO junior lightweight title, a 12-rounder against Jonathan Oquendo that was scheduled for July 2 in Las Vegas, thus has been postponed indefinitely.

Yes, and that is the problem. There's a bunch of these fighters training together, sparring and if one fighter has it or one trainer has it, then others can easily get it. I do wonder if Hooker and Crawford have tested themselves yet or not as they were in camp with Herring.
