Poor people lease. Poor people also buy flashy cars they can't afford. Why would a rich person lease a car when they can buy it, and then sell it in two years instead of just rent it and give it back?

Because rich people don’t keep a car for that long and they could care less about reselling it.
I negotiate contracts for very well off people for a living. They lease the latest Beemer, Mercedes or luxury vehicle then give it back for a new one every few months or so. Why pay full retail for something that depreciates the second you drive it off the lot and won’t keep around.
