Comments Thread For: Ward, Bradley Believe Fury is Making a Big Mistake With Wilder

Former world champion Andre Ward believes Tyson Fury is making a big mistake by announcing that he's negotiating the terms for a two fight series with Anthony Joshua in 2021. Fury is scheduled to defend his WBC heavyweight title against Deontay Wilder in a trilogy fight, which promoters hope to schedule by the end of the year.

How is he making a mistake? Wilder can't beat Fury under any circumstances. Fury has already beat him twice.

Imagine thinking Beyoncé Wilder will beat Fury after being Decimated by him in the last fight.

Totally agree with these two previous champs! Fury didn’t even do what he does so very well against Wilder - box. He employed (under the guise of “new trainer”) every grappling hanging, leaning & clinching trick you could think of. Talk about nerves getting the better of you!

Now he’s already signed a contract for Joshua(!?) holding the pen with his open palm floppy glove while programming the robot with the other?!? No matter what the new Karate Tyson bandwagon riders say, Wilders definitely no push over, unless of course the next ref allows Fury to get away with murder all over again....

Outside of landing a lucky punch, Deontay can't win.

I doubt he even takes the 3rd fight tbh, he knows that Fury will always be his daddy.

Expect him to fake an injury a couple of weeks before the fight.

He cuda just not took the rematch..... It wuda been very convenient and the smart career move.

So why take the rematch just to fake an injury when he cuda just not took the rematch and let Fury/Joshua soften eachother up?

Although some call it whatever an possibly unprofessional I can see why they've done it..

Apart from information like that don't/can't stay out of the public. There's a few other fights coming up with Mandos etc and unless they pull a WBC they'll oblige.

This release eliminates all that talk for now..

Main thing is moving it on from negotiations and actually confirmation of deal done pending results of wilder/pulev.
