Comments Thread For: Billy Joe Saunders: Canelo Alvarez Fight Next Seems Unlikely

It appears the Canelo Alvarez train has passed by Billy Joe Saunders, who once had a prime passenger seat to face the pound-for-pound kingpin in a super middleweight showdown. A May 2 match at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas between Saunders and Alvarez was agreed upon and a news conference was scheduled to announce the fight in March before Covid-19 wiped away the sport for months.

"IM not working to develop Canelo career, IM not going to accept 100/200m or even ten pence if IM not ready"

You'd fight him when he tells you to fight. You'd accept a low ball offer just like you did before the virus..

I can smell the desperation.. Just Keep trying to pimp yourself out to him.... he may just bite.

Wasn't thrilled at all about this fight but if this fight gets scrapped in order to make Canelo vs Dirrell, that's straight bulls***.

Why isn’t Canelo Alvarez held accountable by his fans for running away from a fight with an excellent boxer who’s a two division champion to fight someone who’s shot?

Oh that’s right, it’s Canelo, not GGG.
