Eddie Hearn, promoter for IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, says an agreement has been reached in principle that his boxer will face WBC champion Tyson Fury on two occasions in 2021. Fury's co-promoter, Frank Warren, has already mentioned that the first contest will be a 50-50 deal, with the winner receiving a 60-40 split in the rematch.

Good to see commonsense prevailing. Solid start to negotiations.

I cant see any other outcome other than joshua getting pummelled. If he fights fury like he did ruiz 2 hes getting outboxed. If he fights him like he did klitschko hes getting knocked out

Hopefully both get through the respected fights and Fury/AJ is a unification..

I'm sure all belts/no belts scenario's are within the 'deal in principle'...

So far we know the fight won't be in England. I would be surprised to see Joshua go to America so it's the highest bidder elsewhere imo..

Saudi Arabia will no doubt be in with a large bid as it continues its bid to become the home of mega-fights.

It's taken the ring-leader of one of the biggest drug cartels in the world to act as the mediator and make the deal possible. Boxing never fails to surprise me.

Agree, my initial thoughts an likely destination...

I'd love to at least first one be in England, but as we know it's not possible as things stand... I'd have definitely been sorting tickets for that one..
