  • Comments Thread For: Ryan Garcia: They're Gonna Say Linares Was Old, Has No Chin When I Catch Him

Ryan Garcia hopes his fight against Jorge Linares still can be scheduled for later this year. But even if Garcia knocks out the former three-division champion, the young lightweight contender doesn't think he'll get an appropriate amount of credit for what would be the most noteworthy win of his career. Garcia discussed plans for his next fight and the possibility of battling Linares during a recent appearance on "The Ak And Barak Show," which streams daily on SiriusXM and DAZN.

Yes. Because he’s old, and has no chin.

You’ll get the same amount of credit that Juan Carlos Salgado, Antonio DeMarco, Sergio Thompson, Vasily Lomachenko, and Pablo Cesar Cano got.

Actually you will get much less than that because you are coming 5 knockouts, and 11 years after his first KO.

Nobody is putting Pablo Cesar Cano on any P4P lists, and he’s the last person that KOd him so why would you be looking for some extra credit ?

When Jorge Linares made his pro debut, Ryan Garcia was like two years old ; Garcia was slightly dumber and cried less.

Ryan waited for Linares to lose punch resistance & get old..

Forget after the fight I'm saying it here and now, Linares was hand picked because he's clearly on the decline.

Classic Goldenboy, it's the way Oscar did it and Canelo does it, it's a pattern.

Linares has seen better days but the way he had himself ready for his last outing is more than enough to humble a loudmouth, snotnose brat!

I would say to Ryan, why are you putting that narrative out there also. If I was Ryan, I would be throwing a bunch of flowers at Linares, saying how tough the fight will be so I get flowers afterwards for beating him easily.

Is the kid just talking or is he really delusional, he'll be in the toughest fight so far of his career vs Linares, if he ever even fights him which is not sure
