Seems like every reporter in boxing talkin to boxers of a certain weight is putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with Canelo..

Canelos team must be loving it. They don't have to promote, no nothing, they have everyone creaming and hanging on his name for free.

If I was Canelo I'd Sit back with a fat cigar and try not to cringe too much...

Two years after Cotto he was saying how he continues to live with structural weakness in not only his knee, but shoulder too. Now 4 years on he's talking a comeback to boxing at age 45 carrying structural weaknesses in joints that won't stand up to a full training camp, let alone a fight.

Yes, I hope this isn't true. Let him stay retired because he is going to get hurt in camp like Nigel Benn did in his failed comeback against Sakio Bika.

Either this stem cell stuff is miracle working or hes just looking for a rematch with Chavez or something. He really was a shadow of himself against Cotto, and even Murray. I don't think anyone is expecting much.

Sounds like he has nothing better to do
Just hope it’s not for the worst
But have a hard time believing he gets in and out safely

You blew your money on women/a woman and you need more to keep up your usefulness. We've seen this same story over and over.

His intent isn't to chase Canelo, but what if Canelo chases him?? Old guy with a name has been the MO. In all seriousness, any young top fighter who agrees to fight Martinez should be ashamed of themselves.

I hate it when famous people are lazy like Beyonce Alicia Keys and that girl from Blue Lagoon and other actors who only do something to get rich and stay gone then come back 10 years later thinking they are still famous just because they mismanaged their money and choices. It's sad but true. If he's lucky he can make a little to open up a business and retire.

Right now I have more faith in Canelo to not be that lame, yeah he took the easy money fight with Chavez like a lot have, he saw an opportunity vs an aging Kovalev, but Kovalev had regained his belt.

Martinez though is 45 years old now and hasnt fought in 6 years and was shot to hell back then and brutalized by a Cotto that Canelo already beat. Martinez was collapsing from just trying to move in the ring, knees gave out with no punches landed and that was 6 years ago.

I think right now Canelo will chase the right fights, his resume is pretty stacked so I have good faith in him he wouldnt call out a 45 year old martinez because he would deserve every criticism that comes his way for that.
