Comments Thread For: Callum Johnson vs. Joshua Buatsi Could Have Title at Stake, Says Hearn

Eddie Hearn, the promoter for light heavyweights Callum Johnson and Joshua Buatsi, could see his two boxers colliding with either a European or world title at stake. While there has been some chatter about the two boxers colliding in the ring, Hearn would like to avoid the scenario of matching his fighters against each other.

Callum is on record saying he wants this fight.

    Over to Buatsi...

Buatsi’s career has really stalled, he’s been matched terribly.

A win over Johnson puts him back on the right track.

I think Johnson-Mikhalkin was already ordered by EBU or smth and should be (or should've been at least) on Whyte-Povetkin

Nice fight, Buatsi's one of the best UK (or Ghanaian whichever you wanna call it) talents and Johnston is a heavy handed dude with world level experience. Make it so Mr Hearn.

That might work for Eddie better if he ain't looking at matching his guys against each other. Mikhakhin's solid too, be the best win yet for the Bostonian kid if he can pull it off.

This is the fight that should be made next, I know both want it. I know Hearn is being honest about not ideally wanting to pit both his boxers together but if they both want it and the options are thin then this is the best thing for both boxers.

Joshua needs more bouts he is not world class yet but developing fighter why the reason to rush him he is not old . He could beat Yarde right now but is still learning

The british title is currently vacant, so that could be another option & would give both fellers (Who are ex champs) the chance to add another notch on the Lonsdale belt.

Yeah good shout, why not? Fights like Fury-Chisora 2 were for the British title.

I hate the way people just fight for these sh***y ranking titles against foreign cab drivers instead of fighting the best domestically first.
