    Are most cruiserweights people who would have been fighting at HW in the 60s and 70s?

    How many CW's actually weight right at 200 lbs on fight night? These guys are probably in the 210-215 range come fight night which was a typical weight for Heavyweight back in those days.

    Oh yeah, Usyk would've definitely been a HW back int the '60s, but I tell people all the time that fighters do what it takes to adjust to the class they want to be in.

    Michael Spinks needed to be 175lbs to defend his light-heavyweight title in June of '85.

    Then he gained 30lbs in 3 months to fight Larry Holmes in Sept.

    A lot of guys from the '60s would've done something similar if they were fighting today.

    Marciano would'nt be 185lbs. He's be 215.

    Ali wouldn't be 210, he'd be 225

      Yeah. Cw wasn't a thing back then so they would've been Heavies. It was created just to keep smaller heaves from having to compete with a division that giants were now becoming the norm in.
