Isn’t it amazing how GGG ducked Derevyanchenko but Canelo didn’t?

So GGG vacated to fight a guy who was arguably the best boxer alive. He then fought the guy he “ducked” two fights later to win back the title he vacated.
wtf was the point of that ****** vanes fight??? thats what got him stripped he could have just fought his mando..not really hard to understand..how can canelo duck a guy by moving up 2 divisions and fighting a champ?

GGG could have won too. Bottom line you just proved what the initial post that i was responding to was about. Which is GGG never takes risk.

And thats why we got 2 year inactive vanes instead of derevychencko
He sure took a risk fighting Derev when it did take place. By then after the Jacobs fight it was obvious to everybody that Derev was no joke. Something that Loeffler, Golovkin and Rosier have known for a long time. The match with Derev happened when both guys had a proper training camp and then put on a thrilling fight. Just as Loffler said would happen and both men made more money on it. Financially it was the best situation for both fighters and the fans got a great fight out if it. The only thing that could be bothering you is that Golovkin didn't take the fight on short notice and then lose.

It's ******. Think of fighting Golovkin just after he fought Canelo in the biggest PPV since May/Pac for only $225k. Well ****, it would actually be lower than that once all those different fees are paid out.

GGG spent money on a training camp. Instead of eating the cost of a camp, he held a fight he couldn’t lose to make his money back and earn something for his efforts.

I really don’t get why everyone has such a big problem with that.

I’m also not criticizing Canelo for not fighting Derevyanchenko. It’s a high risk, low reward fight. Kovalev is an easier fight. On top of that, a Kovalev victory comes with more praise while a Kovalev loss is excused. I would totally have my fighter go after Kovalev instead of Derevyanchenko.

I’m just pointing out how hilarious it is that Canelo fans trash GGG for ducking Derevyanchenko. GGG fought him a fight removed from the Canelo rematch.

When Canelo vacated to avoid fighting Derevyanchenko, something GGG was destroyed on here for doing, all the Canelo fans blamed Derevyanchenko for the fight not happening.

          It’s so hypocritical, it’s hilarious.

Well he managed to do it. He ducked Golivkin and Derevyanchenko. By the way when the negotiations for the Kovalev fight fell through I can't recall the name of the fighter that Canelo fought in place of Kovalev. Or did Golden Boy purpodky low ball Kovalev then refuse to allow Kovalev enought time to properly recover from the Yarde fight.

If you were a promoter and your fighter had signed to fight Canelo Alvarez for 40-45% of the pot, would you have him fight Sergey Derevyanchenko on short notice before the Canelo fight?

I think that would be the ******est thing ever.
