According to them, GGG (who is evil) ducked Sergey Derevyanchenko when he vacated his IBF belt to fight Canelo Alvarez instead of Derevyanchenko.

Despite the fact that GGG fought Derevyanchenko for that same IBF title just two fights after he vacated it, Canelo fans have never forgiven GGG for this and still use it as evidence that he won’t fight tough competition.

When the IBF ordered Canelo Alvarez to face Sergey Derevyanchenko, Alavarez refused and vacated the title. He’ll never fight Derevyanchenko ever.

Canelo fans have somehow spun this into Derevyanchenko ducking Canelo, like he held a gun to Canelo’s head and forced him to surrender the belt.

It’s incredibly impressive.

The real money was in fighting Golovkin not Khan. Trying to equate that to the Lewis situation is like comparing apples to oranges. In other words Canelo didn't go for the Golovkin fight which everyone wanted after he won the Middleweight title. Instead he chose a china chinned challenger who has been down numerous times. Lewis wanted to fight Klitschko previously but the negotiations fell apart. So when he got the opportunity he jumped on it. The two situations are much different.

Nowhere did i say canelo should have fought khan instead of golovkin.

of course GGG didnt duck jacobs, the whole point of him winning a title in 2015 was that he began in earnest to defend at world level.
Once he reached title level in 2015, he did not shirk from the effort in my view, 2 top contenders is more than enough for a 3 year reign.

Please dont denigrate GGG's sterling effort during this reign, nothing wrong with 2 or 3 duff defences when you are ok to win on points and draw with 2 actual top contenders.
