  • Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua is Still Very Much Focused on Fighting in The UK

He can fight in Daddy Hearns back garden when the shed is built, but Eddie won't let him. Not enough money in it for him..

He's always looked to fight in the U.K money/venue permitting. His boxers dream turned into a nightmare when he travelled to America for what they thought was a dead rubber in miller and then couldn't believe his luck to be finally pitted against the bloke from back of the taco bell counter..

I think Eddie is now sceptical of farming him out overseas, so I'd be surprised to see him and Pulev fight anywhere other than the UK...

Hopefully it doesn't scar him and we see him travel back MSG for a fight to rid the demons...

Only one comment on this thread tell me everything. Nobody's interested! Most AJ fans were casual chavs who looked up to the "roadman". What a role model for these drug smoking knife weilding morons.

Now he's been exposed for what he is (chinless punk), Eddie wants to cash out and I don't blame him. Remember when Eddie was quoting 80/20 for Wilder or Fury... Hahahahahaha

In the UK, why doesn't the royal family take over when cultural aspects of the UK are under worldwide threat?

          I'm not criticising, I'm American, I really don't understand y'all's system.

They are there to preserve culture right? Just being there though, not actually doing anything to preserve culture? Is it asking too much to tell them, hey, youse what own the majority of the planet's land, youse who are kept around in lavish luxury for culture, youse should be who provides the culture with a path foward while the rest of the world *****es 'cause they have no monarch who can just say well that's ****ed, boys fight on my island for me and I'll pay youse what you should have earned.

I get that it isn't BE anymore, but, ****, what is it they actually do other than exist? That's the whole deal? That's how the preserve culture and history and serve as the top ambassador of the British people to the rest of the planet? Just, being? King George did more for boxing....maybe a cultural figurehead does less for culture than a real king?

It makes sense for Americans to be like 'the **** you want from us there is no money' but the UK has a Queen who is ****** rich and her whole deal is meant to be preserving British culture....so uh....Queenie, where the ****'s my fight and why the hell ain't you paid Wilder and Pulev step aside?

That **** would make me jealous of that system. Making undisputed happen because it's British culture would be cool. Just footing Joshua's mando would be cool though too.

of course its better to have his big fights at home, then he can get a ref that will stop his opponent punching, nice officials to give him a 3 point start and all the rest win win!

That said, what are they for? I really believed that's what they were for. Not boxing directly, but, that kinda cultural bull.

It's not like we have a vested interest or anything. I've never before had any reason to give any ****s what the queen's about. What is that **** for?
