Comments Thread For: Ryan Garcia: I Think I'm Very Close To A Title Shot

Ryan Garcia was prepared to go through Jorge Linares to get to a major title fight but is also perfectly content with cutting straight to the chase. The 135-pound division is overrun with top-shelf talent, from its current titlists to former claimants down to rising contenders such as Garcia. The 21-year old from Victorville, California has come into his own over the past 18 months, by no small coincidence in line with his time spent under current head trainer Eddy Reynoso.

      Internet creation

While there's no doubting the kid has talent, he's quite annoying and a bit immature. In my opinion. Why do young people think internet views somehow validates who they are? Just because your popular doesn't mean you deserve anything. Like that clown Takashi 69. He on the other hand is a talentless minion. But seems to be of the same mind as Garcia. Internet creations/sensations.

This guy's level of chatter has increased a lot since the pandemic started. Wonder if one has to do with the other or if he actually wants to fight all the guys he's been talking tough about.

If Teofimo Lopez is able to defeat Loma then he is definitely the best out of the crop of Early 20's fighters, I want to see Garcia vs Tank then Garcia vs Haney

A WBSS tournament at 135 would be pretty sweet right about now.

Then again Bob Arum fighters wouldn't participate.
