Comments Thread For: Emanuel Navarrete Training Hard For Return, Non-Title at 126

The WBO super bantamweight world champion, Emanuel Navarrete, intensified his preparation before the possibility of returning to the ring in June and ruled out the view that fighting without an audience is something negative for him. In fact, he chooses to see it as a golden opportunity in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic.

He's boiling down to 122. In his last fight, he looked drained, even if he was dominant. He has looked better. There are some good fights for him at 126. At 122, he's just looking at blown up bantams

I like all the smoke for the 'Cowboy' at 126. Josh Warrington, Leo Santa Cruz, Gary Russell jr. are all close to even fights with Emanuel Navarrete.

If Shakur Stevenson moves up to jr. lightweight, the WBO vacancy opens Navarrete vs. Conlan ; considering that the WBO will likely grant Navarrete the mandatory as the former WBO superbantam champ. I would go with Josh Warrington or Santa Cruz, Michael Conlan's style is wrong for the gunslinger.
