Comments Thread For: Spence's Trainer: Brook Would Be Best Opponent Crawford Has Ever Fought

An interested third party interrupted Derrick James as Errol Spence Jr.'s trainer spoke to Kell Brook a couple months ago in Las Vegas. Terence Crawford wanted some answers from the former IBF welterweight champion at MGM Grand in Las Vegas the week of the Tyson Fury-Deontay Wilder rematch.

A few years too late, Brook gets stopped in the mid rounds. He really wasted his career after beating Porter. Should have beaten the Garcias and Thurmans of this world and got a nice padded resume, as it is he went the GGG route and he's gonna retire with one good win. Waste.

While that’s certainly true, Brook is also the best opponent Spence has ever fought.

Even Lamont Peterson would have been the best opponent Crawford fought

Crazy how little regard Khan gets these days lol. Brook before Golovkin was damn good. He beat Porter in the US on points so he has shown the world. He just ain't at that level anymore.

Derrick James is one of those trainers that have a casuals understanding of who is who in the sport of boxing. Kell is one of the most overrated welters of all time.

Ricky Burns has never got any credit, the 'Rickster' is a much more accomplished fighter than Kells Brook.

Such much b s from Crawford and company that Brook was on the bottom of the list and all they do is talk about fighting him and hyping this fight.

This is the type of opponent they are looking for. Easy UK money that has a name and the odds are in their favor.

I would give Brook a chance at 154, but not at 147! Spence is gonna have the same problems soon. These guys are way too big to be fighting at 147! I would suggest Brook watch De La Hoya vs. Pacquiao! Does Crawford bring that much more profit than a fight with Liam Smith?
