Comments Thread For: UK Closed-Door Boxing Events To Disallow People At-Risk or Over 70

As significant steps are being taken to get boxers back in the ring, so too are measures to determine who can and cannot be a part of the modified on-site process in the United Kingdom. Per guidelines under the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC), boxing events taking place behind closed doors will prohibit fans in attendance along with personnel over 70 years of age. All participants will be required to submit to and pass a coronavirus test, as well as undergo a period in isolation prior to being cleared to fight once the sport resumes.

Well considering a considerable risk in over 60s, and anyone obese why dont they just scrap the whole thing then?

Sadly, this means that we'll never get to see Ortiz fight in the UK ever again.

It's actually over 70s, over 60s is too broad for now. Obese people can wallow in their unhealthiness for all I care. This disease is nothing really, very infectious but not deadly at all compared to the likes of the flu, malaria and tuberculosis. They should not cancel events over this as we don't do the same for the more lethal seasonal diseases we have.

So your in isolation then for two weeks train. Lose a fight get paid and blame it on cornovirus as was not in shape. Simple solution first fights in December this year is done
