Comments Thread For: Hearn Very Open To Staging Big Fights Behind Closed Doors

Promoter Eddie Hearn is very open to the idea of staging big fights behind closed doors. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Hearn was forced to postpone numerous events - including Anthony Joshua vs. Kubrat Pulev, Alexander Povetkin vs. Dillian Whyte, and Derek Chisora vs. Oleksandr Usyk.

Hearn should sue China for the money lost during this Coronavirus pandemic.

Imagine a big fight without spectators, behind closed doors? No atmosphere, will look like a sparring session. Let's stop the madness and get back to life sooner than later.

Yea I'm sure he's still trying to setup that naked oil wrestling bout with him vs AJ, but AJ isn't interested.

That’s what it’ll have to be. Hell, WWE holds weekly shows behind closed doors, baseball is proposing to continue the rest of the season behind closed doors, they got that whack Kevin Johnson boxing match behind closed doors, fu#king do it! Boxing without spectators is better than no boxing! The people behind the scenes need to figure this one out.

Over the summer, the world will start to somewhat go back to normal. It’s still not gonna be completely normal, but it can somewhat resemble what we were used to.

Eventually what they can do once the fed and local governments okay it, is hold live shows, but just limit the capacity to 30% full. I think that’s what is going to happen towards the end of the year.
