Comments Thread For: Thurman: Just Have To Take It One Week At A Time With Where We Are In The World

As the year began, Keith Thurman was looking forward to return to the ring at full strength and getting in at least two fights prior to 2021. At this point, he will settle for his health and one fight, in that order. "Right before the virus hit, the way I saw it, I was ready for a fight date," Thurman (29-1, 22KOs) told renowned emcee Ray Flores during a Premier Boxing Champions (PBC)-hosted Instagram Live interview. "I was ready for maybe three months out (from present day). Give me 12 weeks, give me a fight. I was thinking end of summer-ish, the later part of summer I was ready to come back.

If Porter can't get a fight with Crawford, then I'm game for Thurman vs. Porter 2!

I mean, Thurman's still top tier but coming off a loss, Porter's top tier but coming off a loss.

I'd rather see Crawford pull up his pants and challenge one of these guys if only to silence critics about whether he's legit.

Because if Spence beats either Manny, Danny or Thurman (or all three), Crawford will have no chance to catch up at that point.

Really, did you say legit?? T Crawford is P4P #1 in the world...do you think he needs PBC low tier talent fights to be legit? Danny, Thurman, Porter, Manny & Spence all would get stopped, KO or TKO'd vs Terrance...

Thurman has taken too long between fights to stay at the level he was at. In my opinion I think Porter, Spence & Crawford beat him for sure at this point. A fight against Danny Garcia would be 50/50. I think Thurman vs. Garcia would be a great rematch & whoever wins that deserves another title opportunity. I’m tired of seeing fighters getting title shots after beating low level opponents. I think after things return to somewhat normal boxers in general will be forced to step up in competition in order to make money. There won’t be any profit for promoters in fighting low level fighters.

Not one of these welterweights want to fight, as far as I can see there all full of ****, it is know longer about WHO YOU FIGHT but more about How MUCH CASH can I make while fighting total **** opponents and at the same time making it look like you want to fight everybody it's a fck'ing joke taking the CASUAL fans for all they got while giving you **** in return. And to top it all
of it's the fck'ing BOXING PROMOTERS HOLDING the WHOLE SHOW UP.

He faced Manny. That's more than can be said about the majority of the other welterweights.
