Comments Thread For: Navarrete: I Want Naoya Inoue, Vargas, Luis Nery, Akhmadaliev

WBO super bantamweight champion Emanuel Navarrete wants to take on the world's best fighters at any weight, and is willing to hold on at 122 pounds, although he agrees that he has a hard time securing the right opportunities to make a unifying fight or take on specific challengers - the big names.

Vargas is a disgrace. He just wants to hang onto a belt by fighting bums and has-beens. How long has he held a belt without even showing the slightest interest in unification? Just the kind of so called "champion" that is dragging boxing further into the dumps.

The Inoue fight should be easy to make. They are both with Top Rank.

I was high on Navarette when he won the title and then the bottom fell out on his career and he has not fought a single named fighter since then. He names these fighters and doesnt fight any of them or even the next level below them.

Navarrete called out the toughest in boxing. I see him hanging in there but they all will be tough to beat. No one can beat the monster but maybe if Inoue decides to move up again where his power diminishes. Nery you just don't know. Akmadaliev is very beatable only thing he's one of those the promoter and judges work in.. Just ask Daniel Roman. He gave the Uzbek a lesson and got robbed! So that's going to be a fixed fight from the beginning. Too many politics at 122. Time to move up.

I'm high on Navarrete!!! This dude is a true warrior!!! He calls out all the best. It's not his fault greedy promoters can't come to terms. If he was American he would be named the best lb x lb right now.

It sounds like he can't make 122 anymore. I don't mind Monster vs Nary for the vacant title.
