Legacy, you gotta be a special breed of dumb, read his resume buddy he has records in boxing nobody will ever break, his Legacy is already set in stone whatever he ever he does just adds to the story.
Love him or hate him only a moron could deny the greatness of Mayweather.Comment

Hes a has been. Done. He couldn't fight again if he tried. Wouldn't be against a world champion i can promise you that!Comment

I know. In fact I think Floyd ate Fast food on 24/7 docs just for show and to confuse opponents. Hard to believe an intelligent guy like SLR lived that, but it's true sadly. He was full of himself, and has been humbled since.Comment

Prime Floyd was not better than prime Roy. Head to head, pound for pound, no one is better than prime Roy.He ruined the sport by fighting ... nothing but champions his entire life? After the Pacquiao fight, Floyd has become extremely annoying and hard to listen to.
Go watch every one of his fights... Especially his younger days. He's the best fighter in the past 25 years whether you like it or not.
We've seen prime Roy in the last 25 yearsComment

In a mythical matchup at the same weight. I’d have Floyd winning.
I think Roy was arguably one of the best fighters of all time. But Floyd just had that innate ability to expose weakness. Roy just had extreme athleticism. I don’t see Floyd getting hit with any of those crazy shots Roy would throw. He was too elusive.
It’s hard to compare a heavyweight with a welterweight though.Comment

I'd have to disagree here...In a mythical matchup at the same weight. I’d have Floyd winning.

Floyd never fought anyone like Roy, but Roy fought James Toney who was equally as intelligent and similar in defense to Floyd and James couldn't touch him.
Freddie Roach touted James as the greatest defensive fighter he's seen. Roy got through at will.
Hopkins matured much better as he got older, but he was still equally as gifted in intelligence
Roy never lost in his prime. He was just as fast as a welterweight in a light heavyweights/Cruiserweight body.
Oh yeah, and Floyd arguably lost in his prime to Castillo. Roy never even remotely had that problem in which many say he lost a fight in his prime.
Prime Floyd was in a war with Augustus. Prime Roy never had that problemLast edited by Chollo Vista; 04-07-2020, 09:55 PM.Comment

Better and greater is a personal thing, as far as boxing goes they are both at such a precise high level you may be surprised how they would square off in a hypothetical same size scenario .
Roy won UDs against his best opponents and blew away every body else, the real top guys were competitive fights.
Its easy to get an unbeatable image of a guy, but I believe the true 2%ers have very little between them and its more a case of who is in his zone on the night.Comment

I’ve worn Roy Jones boots in the ring before... I liked the dude a lot. It’s just hard to argue the pound for pound with the difference in weight classes.I'd have to disagree here...

Watch the first Griffin fight. Griffin wasn’t a pound for pound guy and gave him a lot of trouble. Before he got knocked out of course.
He flopped on those punches on his knee.Comment
