Comments Thread For: Spence: Staying At Welterweight Until I Finish My Goal To Become Undisputed Champ

If Errol Spence sees his wish list come to life, then his goal of becoming undisputed welterweight champion will occur within his next three fights. However long it takes, though, will determine how long the unified titlist remains put. "Until I finish my goal and my goal is to become undisputed welterweight champion of the world," Spence (26-0, 21KOs) confirmed during a recent interview on the Instagram Live channel of Premier Boxing Champions (PBC), hosted by Ray Flores. "Once I become undisputed, then I'll see about moving up.

Liking his enthusiasm and pathway to what he wants..

I love it it when a fighter doesn't feel the need for a rematch as he looks to dominate a division.

Whether it pans out that way is another matter.

Nah, he's just throwing this "undisputed bone" in hope people will stop poking him with Bud. He's got all physical advantages over Bud yet still scared of him. Seems he lost more than just teeth in that crash.

Spence has no interest in fighting Crawford. He'll drag Loma up to 147 on PPV before he fights Crawford

Cause when Spence fights someone who isnt Lightweight or semi retired he looks human and arguably lost to MMA Shawn Porter.

He can wait Crawford out and hope age gives him that edge...because he ain't got no shot in a straight up fight

I personally would rather see him fight Crawford first. Then go to Pac Man and DSG last. In that order by then Pac is liable to be retired though and i honestly think Mikey and Pac will be a better fight than people realize and a rematch with Mikey and Spence for a unification is more possible than one would think and that would SUCK!!!

On a side note that is providing Spence can beat Crawford. I'm still unsure of that ending because Bud is completely untested at 47

I will give it to him if he fights 2 of 3

I don’t care to see him fight an old as hell Manny but Danny and Terrance are fights we all want to see and how it turn out. I believe he beats Danny and maybe even hurt Budd but that dam Crawford is mean and knows how to make adjustments s so he better bring his A, B, and C game.

if you think about it, this whole coronavirus thing is the best that could have happened to spencer, now he'll have time to recover properly from that accident and won't be rushed into the ring

That's a tough and logical schedule. If Spence follows that path then he should be applauded.

You might be waiting a while spence....Manny is scared to death to fight you while crawford is on another network with another promotional outfit that he recently RE-SIGNED with and that fight is nowhere near big enough for the networks to work together for at this time. No matter how much the militant PBC haters on boxingscene rant about it, networks don’t get together for fights with $10m total purses and then lose money. In any event, these boxers across the board are going to have to get used to being paid less and fighting more after the SARS-COVID era at least for months afterward, perhaps years....
