I see this is a hate on Spence thread, but I'll comment anyway.
That was a life changing accident. Those who are pushing for a quick fight to "resolve" things aren't boxing fans or sportsfans. At best they might be paid "marinators", lol, drumming up the eventual promotion (hopefully). But no true "Sportsman/Sportswoman" would be wanting Spence or anyone else to take a fight quickly after that accident, let alone a championship fight.
Our brains and bodies are quite amazing, but very delicate and fragile. No matter how anyone feels about it, Spence should be very, very careful going forward ... testing his mind and body in steps and fully evaluating the results. I still believe Spence will be VERY fortunate IF he can ever be able to fight again. I hope he resists the money and goading to jump in there and end up losing his ability to function NORMALLY the rest of his life. No amount of money is worth that. And people pushing and rushing him are the last people he should listen to or worry about.
Spence shouldn't fight for two years ... minimum, just to have proper time for everything to settle and be checked as normal and ok ... both at leisure and under duress. Even more time for checking at EXTREME DURESS, like a championship fight against elite fighters.
No one wanted to see Spence/Crawford more than I did. But, Spence may never be the same guy again. There should be a lot of time and attention taken before anyone responsible would sponsor Spence in that ring ... no matter even what he says. Only time can clear him, and even the Crawford fight is not big enough to risk being wrong about his condition.
Not what any of us fans wanted to have happen, see or hear, but life and fatherhood supercede our entertainment desires. Take your time Team Spence for Spence sake.
PS - He went to England and fought Brook, there has never been any fear.
