Spectacular mailbag, my gosh. The trainer breakdown as well as Mayweather's career were awesome. You've outdone yourself this week Breadman. Hats off to you

Replace Pacquiao with Marquez on the list of intelligent boxers.

As ever a great 'Bag from Breadman. Always good for a balanced, even handed and above all insightful take on the boxing world. My favourite boxing columnist bar none.

The fighters that a trainer produces are the proof of how good a trainer he is. Period.

Having been a fighter isn't necessary. But it does help to have at least apprenticed under good trainers, like Angelo Dundee did.

                So great!

One of the best mailbags ever, Breadman. You articulated so well what most real longtime boxing fans already knew about trainers, and your breakdown of Floyd’s career is now a standard. (Anyone who thinks McGirt was an average fighter needs to stop talking and take some more classes.) BoxingScene should start a Breadman’s Greatest KOs section for all the superposts: the one on types of punchers, the so-called McCallum dodging, and now this one. Make them easy to access. Great stuff. The only thing I would say is where’s Larry Holmes on that list of great jabbers?

Bread this particular mailbag was one of the ONLY blessings connected to Covid-19. We know had boxing not been frozen we would have never received this ***el of intellectual content.

You sir are an All-time great in how you can discuss the nuisances of boxing and it’s lineage. I am dumbfounded to understand why you haven’t been brought into a sportscaster role on top of your current success as a trainer.

It is the afficianado that should be put on display to nurture interest in a sport. It is the afficianado that enhances the texture and the brand for casuals. The afficianado gives the novice something to aspire to.

We need less shock jock sportscasters on display who don’t know ***** about the sport. And the biased cry baby media has to be the most disgraceful of any sport.

But we definitely need more historians who can talk about the action as fluently as who the champions were in 1963.

You are at the top of the boxing knowledge base. Max was somewhat impressive until he became a biased company man for hire. Great mailbag.
