  • Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua: I've Lost Close Ones Due To Coronavirus

IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua revealed on Wednesday he has "lost close ones" due to coronavirus. Joshua's title defence against IBF mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev was scheduled for June 20th, but now it is more likely to take place on July 25th. There is a possibility of the contest taking place at an even late date.

Anthony Joshua is opening his heart, respect to him.

You are right Champ, me too. I agree with Anthony Joshua completely, I have a few friends infected and one of them is dying, also have friends with parents who are infected. For now, my family is safe, same with Anthony Joshua. I hope Joshua encourage his and all people in general in these dark times. Also I hope Joshua family is safe. To all member and friends alike, please be careful and stay safe, also protect your close ones or love ones.

The virus should weaken with warmer weather but by then it's too late. 99% of America hasn't even been tested and nobody knows who the carriers are.

The numbers will continue to swell exponentially and by June the medical facilities in NY, MA, CT, NJ, MD, NC, SC, MI, IL, FL, CA, LA, GA will overwhelmed. Even if the numbers start to drop there will be a massive shortages of ventilators, safety equipment and staff. Similar to Italy, America waited too long and some people will be left to die. The full reality will only hit home when each of us has lost someone close. This is a nightmare you can't wake up from.

            Pessimistic? No! It's math.

There is no leadership, no plan. States are bidding against other states and the federal government for a finite supply of equipment from china. Leadership...no, just a bunch of narcissistic political hacks using the crisis to divert money to political allies.

I wonder why Sweden is faring so well considering they haven’t shut much of anything down. Maybe less dense population...who knows. I live in Canada and don’t know a single person who personally knows someone who’s been infected.

Trumptards forget what they backed up 1 day ago and switch their side. 3 weeks is like another life for them.

You’ve lost “close ones”? Anthony, that first Ruiz fight was NOT even close!

What I don't get is that Trump partially explained his inaction by buying into that opinion early on. Why didn't someone in his administration (remembering he boasts of only having the best and smartest) ask the simple question in Feb 'hey, its summer in Australia, is it dying out there due to the warm weather ?'
