Comments Thread For: Joyce's Manager: New Date, Same Result - Dubois Gets Stopped!

Olympic silver medal winner Joe Joyce has had a run of bad luck with fights being canceled or pushed back. Joyce has been out of the ring since winning a decision over veteran Bryant Jennings back in July of 2019. He was scheduled to face Marco Huck in January, which fell out due to an injury to Huck.

It's HW boxing, odds are SOMEONE is gonna be KO'd. I'd just lean more towards Triple D KOing Joyce than vice versa but Joe obviously has a path to victory it's just a smaller one.

I agree , youth , speed and power when engaged intellectually should see him through , Joyce is painfully slow ( sparring partners have told me ) , but yes if Dubois cannot use the above intelligently and goes over 7 then the could turn , Joyce does have a reasonable strong engine ..

This has a lot of things going for it, lots of angles. Joe is painfully slow, but Dboi is farting around with Fujimotos. Joe has experience and road cred, but he moves like a slug. Dboi is killing cab drivers and sushi chef's, looking good, but will it translate at a higher level? I don't know, I have an opinion. Joe isn't going away and Dboi's living off of Warren feed.

Dubois has not fought good level fighters and lacks the experience. But I would still lean towards a 22 years old defeating 33 years old.

Going to be a big learning curve for Dubois but I think he will have enough in his locker to pull off the win. I'm hoping for a knockout or stoppage in the latter rounds just to give Dubois that confidence to kick his career on at a trajectory he wants.

Saying all that I wouldn't be surprised if he gets 'old manned' by Joyce...
