  • Comments Thread For: Nelson Warns: Writing Joshua Off in Fury Fight is a Fatal Mistake!

Former world champion turned pundit Johnny Nelson is not ruling out Anthony Joshua in a potential unification with Tyson Fury. And he says experts would be making a big mistake if they overlook Joshua in the fight. Joshua, the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion, was dropped four times and stopped in the seventh round by massive underdog Andy Ruiz in June 2019. Joshua got revenge in the December rematch, when he outboxed Ruiz over twelve rounds for a unanimous decision to reclaim the titles.

Joshua can box. I'd still favour Fury but this ain't no bum Wilder we are talking about. Joshua can do things, wilder can do A thing.

But Ruiz doe, big ring doe. Lol if you want to pretend thats the only fight Joshua ever had.

Fury beats Joshua any way he wants to. Outboxes him or outfights him, it's a less dangerous fight than Wilder because Joshua's power is overrated, whereas Wilder's is legit.

Maybe so but Is he wrong on this occasion? He is still saying Fury is the number 1 and so I presume he'd favour Fury to beat Joshua but you can't underestimate your opposition at this level or you will taken out. As proven by both Joshua and wilder in recent times.

How is it overrated? Joshua isn't the biggest puncher in the division but like most heavies he hits hard enough to do damage if he can only land it.

If Fury beats Joshua it won't be cuz his power is overrated. It will be because he's not as skillful as Fury.

Joshua is very heavy handed, he's the only person who's ever blasted Kevin Johnson out who say what you want about him he has elite durability.

He's the only person who's ever Ko'd Povetkin who was falling over his own feet after the first clean combo

                  Only person to drop Ruiz

Only person to KO Whyte who has fought a high level

Only person to drop let alone stop Klitschko in 10 years

Ko'd Martin in a round who has gone on to show he's a solid heavyweight in or around top 10

Smashed Molina far quicker than Wilder

Does he hit AS hard as wilder with a straight right? No, but he hits harder with every other punch and his straight right is probably 80% of Wilders. And he's better in literally every other regard.

Wilder fans need to just die honestly.

Wilder didn't get dominated and stopped by a fat blog tho.

Joshua does indeed hit pretty hard, but he's also got a glass jaw and it takes him multiple rounds to recover from big shots.

                    Wilder puts his lights out.
