Comments Thread For: Vazquez vs. Marquez Trilogy To Air on Showtime, March 28th

The fierce Mexican rivals squared off in three consecutive award-winning fights which aired live on SHOWTIME in 2007 and 2008 before meeting for a fourth and final time in 2010. The first three bouts were all contested with the WBC Super Bantamweight World Championship on the line.

Great rivalry, but I wished they would have spaced their fights out a bit more, instead of doing them back to back.
The way Pac and Marq did it was perfect.
But I was at the fourth fight at Staples center in LA when Vasquez's eye opened up and he couldn't continue.
To be honest, they should have just left it at 3.
The third fight was my favorite

Miss matches like this... Boxers who were all about battling until it was clear who was better. Not this take your controversial or boring decision and run approach we see these days.

There was four fights so wasn't it a tetrology?

The best trilogy I have seen, but I think there were 4 fights.

Great trilogy, there were 4 fights, but I think Vasquez was done prior to that 4th fight, I believe his eye was gone by that time.

He should’ve retired after the 3rd fight.
