Comments Thread For: Conor McGregor: I Fully Expect To Box Again!

UFC superstar Conor McGregor is expecting to enter the boxing ring in the near future. McGregor made his boxing debut back in August of 2017, when he took part in a cross-sport showdown with five division world champion Floyd Mayweather, who was coming off a two-year layoff.

Boxing gots enough problems right now to get too excited about McConor's boxing comeback (actually can you call it a comeback if you never got far enough to have something to comeback too???).

Conor can't box above semi-pro standard. He has no power with the padded gloves on. He's never going to beat any pro-boxer.

Even a retried Malagnaggi would school him

Genuinely he should see if he can win an Irish title and go from there.

Even that would be some achievement really

Of course. He made $85million vs Mayweather lol. Why wouldn’t he box again? He makes $2-3million headlining UFC PPV’s. When he really should be making at least $20mill since he sells the UFC PPV’s on his own name. So of course he’d want to box again and make about 30x more than what he would make in UFC.

And while many boxing fans will say they won’t watch or don’t care, more fans will buy the event than not. Just like his first boxing PPV.

Me, I won’t buy it. But I understand there is a market for these types of events.

It could just be someone wanting any reason to throw a party/have a get together. It could just be combat sports fans. These types of events really don’t need us bitter, cry baby boxing fans lol (and yes i’m one of those boxing fans).

"Giving them what they want and entertaining them is important to me.” Who the hell is asking you to box again? Nobody. And Floyd carried you for 10 rounds and ALLOWED you to feather him a few times early doors just for the show. UFC - yes.. boxing - no thank you.
