Like numerous boxing events in the United States, the Canelo Alvarez-Billy Joe Saunders fight has been postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus outbreak. Alvarez and Saunders finalized a deal recently for a fight May 2 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The promotion of their 12-round fight for Saunders' WBO super middleweight title was supposed to start Tuesday with a press conference in Los Angeles.

        Scrap it and face GGG.

Saunders doesn’t have a looming expiration date. He can wait one fight.

Not surprised. A lot of events from May and June are going to be cancelled. Have to do it early before people’s travel plans are locked in or tickets are sold and have to be refunded.

I don’t know if Saunders has the discipline to stay in top shape for a postponement, he’ll be eating deep fried roadkill the minute Davison’s back is turned.
