Here's the deal, Kownacki should've never lost to Helenius

A lot of people are blaming PBC for putting him in there with Robert. But, the fact of the matter is is Robert was a light touch who was one fight removed from being KO'd by Gerald Washington.

The real problem at hand is this. Adam took a lot of damage in the Arreola fight, coupled with his style in general. Add on to the fact that he was winning the fight and got dropped, but wasn't allowed adequate time to recover.

Stuff happens. But hey, you win some, you lose some... But you live, you live to fight another day lol

All jokes aside, people have to relax about fighters taking losses. We have to stop going crazy and telling these guys their career is over because they lost. He'll be good.

Kownacki's career is not over, but the hypothesis of him winning against a top fighter has taken a huge blow last night.

Then again, with excessive fat on your body you can't go that far. Andy Ruiz hitting the jackpot against Joshua should remain an exception.

The same could've been said about Helenius... Especially after he lost to Duahpuas and Washington, but he proved those theories wrong.

I remember seeing Wlad getting KO'd by guys he wasn't supposed to lose too. After a trainer change, he was good again.

He was never going to be a world beater, he's on the Helenius level, not sure why some are so shocked by the result.

At heavyweight, one punch can change everything. Kownacki was winning the fight, but got caught and lost.

Still, we're talking about B-level fighters, whereas Klitschko endured hard knockout losses (against Sanders and Brewster) when everybody was hailing him as The Invincible Man.

I think this will remain Helenius' best win. I don't see him as a threat for the top guys.

You know how people are on here, one loss and you're the worst fighter that ever laced them up, unless of course you happen to be someone they like. We knew what Kownacki is, a come forward brawler with some power and little defense who overwhelms his opponents. Folks act as if no other fighter except the ones they dislike receive hype.

It's one loss people, let the man bounce back

Adam was a top contender and he is supposed to fight top guys. Nobody made a bad match but Helenius outfought him no matter who he lost to before. He had enough time to recover from his last war. I was high on Adam but to attack in the ferocious and sometimes reckless way he does he needs an iron jaw and he doesn't have one.

I agree completely. I thought he has an iron glass; the very Adam could have thought that also. Martin, Arreola and Washington had their moments when they punched Adam's face in series, and Adam still pressed forward like nothing happened.
This KO changes the perspective totally. And for boxing it is good that it was Helenius (and not Wilder or Joshua) KO'd Kownacki because noone would blame the incredible power but rather lack of defense and lack of a suspected iron chin.

Before that fight I estimated Adam's chin on Ruiz's level, now I think Ruiz could do much better after the first knockdown. Sad but true.
