Comments Thread For: Joe Goossen To Train Kubrat Pulev Ahead of Joshua Title Fight

Kubrat Pulev isn't leaving anything to chance this time around. The veteran heavyweight contender from Sofia, Bulgaria will enter his second career title fight under the guidance of top-shelf trainer Joe Goossen. The two will join forces for Pulev's challenge of the slew of heavyweight titles in possession of England's Anthony Joshua (23-1, 21KOs), with their fight taking place June 20 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Tottenham section of north London, England.

That's a nice purse for Goosen. Good for him.

Normally, I'd say no, but the way things are, a savage attack out of the gate, looking for the KO, Mexican style, sounds about right. Pulev isn't winning any boxing matches, the longer it goes, the more chance he tires, punches himself out, or the other way around, AJ punches him out.

He could have captain America in his corner and Joshua still knocks him out.
Goossen has never been a good trainer

Don't think it will help. Pulev was chosen as an opponent for reason.

Yep, because he's the mandatory contender.

AJ is far from a sure thing. Pulev could pull it off. AJ just recently lost to a 25-1 underdog. Shyt Kownacki just lost to a 25-1 underdog last night and nobody considered Adam elite. Just because Joshua is a biblical name doesn’t mean he walks on water and turned water into wine!!!
