How come fighters don't take an 8 count instead of letting ref stop the fight?

    I made this thread last year. IMO It's always the smart move to take the knee and get the eight count than to let the ref jump in and waive the fight off.


    But doing that when you're under a barrage is another story.

        Cotto was smart. Taking an 8 count may be losing the battle, but it's not losing the war.
